small things from today
today was pretty busy. it is freezing outside again, so I stayed in most of the day and helped with whatever needed to be done around here.
we went out once to buy envelopes and paper so everyone can write letters to their families and friends for christmas. people seemed happy about it and were talking about what they were going to write. I have no idea what I am going to say yet but I am actually kind of excited to send the letters. I picked out a few really pretty Christmas postcards, and I think they will look nice when they’re all written out. I hope I get a letter from someone too, but I am trying not to think about it too much. if one comes, it comes.
I have not really drawn in a while. I keep telling myself I will start again soon, but the urge just is not there. sometimes I do a quick little sketch and then stop halfway through because it does not feel right. maybe it will come back when my head is less full.
tonight when I went back to my room when I picked up one of my books to read a bit before bed and noticed that one of the pages was folded down. I never fold pages, I always use a bookmark, so it caught my attention and the part that was marked was about obedience. I do not know if it was already like that and I just missed it before, or if someone folded it on purpose. I think maybe someone thought it would be helpful for me to read. Wether accidentally or not i still read it.
